What you’re buying from JPert

Data Center Infrastructure and On-Site Support

JPert doesn’t own data center facilities — we support your infrastructure inside the carrier-neutral facilities of Northern Virginia’s data center corridor. We arrange colocation, install and maintain your equipment, and provide the hands-on support that keeps it running, so you get the benefits of a major facility without operating one yourself.

Every installation includes complete as-built documentation, labeling standards, and handoff procedures — the same craftsmanship behind our structured cabling services. Once your infrastructure is in place, our managed IT services keep it monitored, patched, and backed up, and our cybersecurity work protects access to it.

  • Work within carrier-neutral facilities — Ashburn, Reston, Herndon — no vendor lock-in.
  • Hands-on expertise — rack & stack, power, cooling, and connectivity at the physical layer.
  • Documentation-first — as-builts, labeling, and handoff procedures on every job.
  • 24/7 remote hands — reboots, cable swaps, and inspections when you need them.

Moving your systems

Cloud Migration Services in Northern Virginia

Relocating physical servers between facilities and moving workloads to a cloud platform are different projects — and we plan each one around your operations.

We assess your systems and their dependencies, map out the move, and confirm the target platform with you before any work begins. The migration runs on a detailed runbook, scheduled to minimize disruption, and we validate every system afterward. A rollback plan is prepared in advance so there’s always a way back — we protect your data with careful planning and verification rather than promising a move with no risk.

  • Dependency mapping — we find what connects to what before we move anything.
  • Detailed runbooks — step-by-step plans with timing and owners.
  • Post-migration validation — every system checked before we call it done.
  • Rollback ready — a planned way back if something doesn’t go as expected.
Backup & continuity

Cloud Backup and Recovery Planning

Backup and disaster recovery aren’t the same thing, and it’s worth being clear about the difference.

Backup is about keeping recoverable copies of your data — we define what’s protected, how long copies are retained, who watches for failed backups, and how restores are tested. Disaster recovery goes further: how your systems and operations get back up after a serious disruption, with documented Recovery Time and Recovery Point Objectives (RTO/RPO). We help you understand which one your situation needs rather than treating the terms as interchangeable.

FAQ

Questions About Data Center and Cloud Services

JPert does not own data center facilities. We support your infrastructure within carrier-neutral facilities in Northern Virginia — arranging colocation, installing and maintaining your equipment, and providing remote hands — so you get the benefits of a major facility without running one yourself.

We handle different kinds of moves — relocating physical servers between facilities and migrating workloads to a cloud platform are different projects. We assess your dependencies, plan the change, validate the migrated systems, and keep a rollback option, confirming the target platform with you before we start.

We build a detailed runbook, schedule the work around your operations (often outside business hours), validate each system after the move, and keep a rollback plan ready. We agree the acceptable downtime window with you up front rather than promising there will be none.

Backup can cover servers, workstations, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365. We define what’s protected, how long copies are retained, who monitors for failed backups, and how restores are tested — so you know exactly what is and isn’t covered.

A backup only matters if it restores. We perform test restores on a scheduled basis and document the results, so you have evidence your data can actually be recovered — not just that it was copied.

Backup is about recoverable copies of data. Disaster recovery also covers how systems and operations are restored after a serious disruption — the recovery steps, priorities, and documented Recovery Time and Recovery Point Objectives (RTO/RPO) agreed with you.
