Backup and Disaster Recovery Services in Northern Virginia

JPert sets up and manages backups that actually work when you need them. We protect your email, files and computers, keep a copy ransomware can’t touch, test restores on a schedule and write a simple plan for getting your organization back to work after a failure, an attack or a disaster.

Why it matters

A backup you’ve never restored is a guess.

Most small organizations believe they are backed up. Many find out during a crisis that the backup stopped running months ago, never included the shared drive, or was encrypted by the same ransomware that hit everything else. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace keep your service running, but they are not a full backup of your data.

We close those gaps. We find out what you have, decide with you what has to come back first and how much data you can afford to lose, then build backups to match and prove they work by restoring from them.

  • Know what’s protected — a written list of every system and how it’s backed up.
  • Ransomware-resistant — at least one copy kept offline or locked against changes.
  • Tested — restores tested on a schedule, with results you can show insurers.
  • Plain-English plan — who to call and what to do first when something goes wrong.
What’s included

What our backup and disaster recovery cover.

Microsoft 365 & Google backup

Daily backup of email, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams or Google Drive, so deleted or encrypted data can be restored.

Computer backup

Full backup of laptops and desktops, so a stolen or dead machine is a hardware problem, not lost work.

Server & file share backup

Image-level backups of on-site servers and shared drives, with copies kept off-site.

Immutable & off-site copies

A copy attackers can’t change or delete, stored away from your office.

Restore testing

Scheduled test restores and a short report, so you know the backups work before you need them.

Disaster recovery plan

Recovery priorities, time targets and a one-page playbook your team can follow under pressure.

Backups are one part of protecting your organization. See our cybersecurity services, managed IT and data center and cloud services.

Process

How we set it up

  • 1. Discover — We document your systems, data and current backups, and agree on what matters most.
  • 2. Protect — We put the right backup on each system and add a ransomware-resistant copy.
  • 3. Prove — We run a test restore and give you a short report.
  • 4. Maintain — We monitor every backup daily and fix failures before they matter.
Pricing

Clear, predictable pricing.

Email and file backup is included in our small-office managed IT plan at $50 per user per month, and $65 per user adds full computer backup. Server and disaster recovery projects are quoted up front. See plans and pricing.

Our team is based at 1934 Old Gallows Road in Vienna, near Tysons, and works with organizations across Fairfax and Loudoun counties and the wider DC area. Most support is remote; on-site visits are scheduled when the work needs hands-on help.

FAQ

Questions we hear a lot.

Microsoft keeps the service running and offers short recovery windows, but it is not designed as a full backup of your data. Deleted items age out, and ransomware or a compromised account can damage files that then sync everywhere. A separate backup gives you copies you control.

Most organizations back up email and files at least daily and computers daily or more often. The right answer depends on how much work you can afford to lose, which we agree with you up front.

It is how quickly a system needs to be working again after a failure. A recovery point objective is how much recent data you can afford to lose. We set both with you and design backups to meet them.

Yes, if at least one copy is offline or locked so it can’t be changed. Attackers try to delete backups first, so we keep a copy they can’t reach and test that it restores.

Yes. We sign Business Associate Agreements and set up encrypted backups that support HIPAA’s data backup and contingency plan requirements.
